The Lower Lab of Ecological and Evolutionary Genomics is a new lab, established in Fall of 2018, in the Biology Department at Bucknell University. Here, we integrate ecological, molecular, and computational approaches to investigate questions about how and why organisms are they way they are. In particular, we are interested in the genetic mechanisms and evolutionary processes underlying the species diversity of fireflies, bioluminescent beetles in the family Lampyridae.
Under the “Research Interests” tab, you will find descriptions of some of the specific research questions that we are investigating in the lab. If you are interested in joining the lab, please email the lab director, Dr. Sarah Lower, at email@example.com.
